The technical requirements for frozen mice for snakes mainly include the following aspects:
Storage conditions: Frozen mice need to be stored in the freezer of the refrigerator, and the temperature should be kept below -16°C, with a shelf life of up to 1 year.
Thawing method: When thawing, you can use the hot water tap to the minimum, and soak it in warm water for 3-5 minutes to completely thaw. After thawing, use paper to absorb the moisture on the surface of the baby mouse, or use a heating pad to thaw and dry the surface water stains.
Feeding method: New corn snakes need to rest for two or three days, and then feed them before going to bed at night. Choose a baby mouse of the right size according to the weight of the snake. Usually, the weight of the baby mouse is about 15% of the snake's weight. When feeding for the first time, the amount of food is halved, and you can feed half a mouse or a mouse head. Do not touch or check frequently within 2-3 days after feeding, so as not to disturb the snake and cause it to vomit.

Environmental temperature: The temperature in the hot zone should be maintained at around 28°C, and feed once every 5-7 days. Pay attention to the state of the snake and do not feed during molting. If the temperature is unstable, the feeding amount should be reduced.
Quality requirements: When purchasing suckling mice, quality is very important. The weight of suckling mice in the same batch may vary greatly, so weighing is essential. Be sure to ask for the specific weight when purchasing. Seedlings below 15 grams should not be fed with suckling mice above 2 grams. It is best to choose red-skinned suckling mice below 1.5 grams. The eliminated adult mice above 60 grams are not easy to digest for corn snakes because of the long breeding time and thick fur. If necessary, you can cut a hole in the stomach of the mouse or dismember it before feeding it.
Diversified diet: If conditions permit, you can buy a breeding group of mice and raise them yourself to obtain suckling mice. Diversified food helps to balance nutrition. It is recommended to add quail, chickens, suckling rabbits and other foods after pressing into individuals.
